Careers & Employability

A young person’s career is their pathway through learning and work. All young people need a planned programme of activities to help them make decisions and plan their careers, both in school and after they leave.

The school is committed to providing a planned programme of careers education, information and guidance for all students in partnership with Calderdale and Kirklees Careers Service.

For further information on our careers programme please contact Stephen Wilson - Careers Lead Teacher on 01924 456811 - careers@ravenshall.org

Ravenshall Job Centre - KS4

Pupils at Ravenshall are able to apply for various employability roles through the Ravenshall Job Centre.

They have the opportunity to experience a real life recruitment process by searching for vacancies, completing application forms and attending interviews. Pupil employees record their working hours by completing a time sheet with their staff supervisor and they receive a Ravenshall salary each Friday, that they can use in our Ravenshall Staff Shop.

We have growing range of roles within the Job Centre which include;

  • Dining room Assistant
  • Playground Assistant
  • Garden and Grounds Maintenance Assistant
  • IT Assistant
  • Audio Visual Assistant
  • Food Technology Assistant
  • Performing Arts and Events Assistant
  • Library Assistant
  • Reprographics Assistant
