To celebrate the end of another fantastic year at Ravenshall the whole school enjoyed a circus-themed summer party. The fun packed afternoon began with lunch outside followed with an ice-cream from the ice-cream van for pudding.

The wide variety of stalls included a coconut shy, tin can alley, arts and crafts, face painting, henna and many more.

Children and staff enjoyed dressing up in circus-themed fancy dress and took the opportunity to get their face painted or had glitter to add to their superb outfits.

It was lovely to have children from Earlsheaton Infant School there too to join in with the fun. Once again we had good luck with the weather and the rain held off until later in the day.

A special thanks to 'The Rapide Brothers' who came along to showcase some of their expert circus skills and teach our children some too. Another huge thank you to Fairy Floss, who made candy floss from her wonderful vintage pram candy floss maker!

We had so much fun and we are looking forward to next years party already!

KS3 pupils had a very successful summer term developing and demonstrating work-related skills through running ‘Ravens Boutique’ charity shop. Pupils and staff enjoy visiting the shop every Wednesday to practise communication and numeracy skills whilst seeking out a real bargain to buy. Pupils invited special guests to form ‘Focus for Hope’ (helping the homeless) and MPIKA (helping to relieve the suffering of vulnerable children in Zambia). Both charities very generously donated stunning outfits for the KS4 fashion show earlier in the year. Pupils decided they wanted to give a little something back in return to show their appreciation. Gemma and June were overwhelmed to receive cheques for £200 each to continue the fantastic work within their charity, which were presented at our special event, ‘Cirque de Ravenshall’.
