Year 9 Keswick Residential Trip 2018
The annual Year 9 residential this year took place at a new venue, the Calvert Trust in the picturesque Lake District National Park from the 9th July for 4 nights.
Eighteen pupils and six members of staff made the trip along the M62 and up the M6 to the centres base near Keswick overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake.
The group arrived to glorious sunshine and were soon set up in their accommodation and ready for the first activities of the week which included a short walk up Skiddaw and the Mirehouse Challenge course.
The fabulous weather continued throughout the week. Pupils had the opportunity to try out a variety of outdoor adventurous activities including bushcraft, canoeing, cycling, undertake a lakeland walk and visit the Goldscope mine.
All pupils took a full and active part in the activities. By partaking in the activities pupils have been able to achieve success, develop new skills, enhance confidence and maximise their potential.
