Keswick Residential 2019
Ravenshall School made its annual Year 9 residential trip to the Calvert Trust in the picturesque Lake District National Park from the 8th July for 4 nights.
Eighteen pupils and six members of staff made the trip along the M62 and up the M6 to the centres base near Keswick overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake.
Despite the dull and overcast weather pupils were soon set up in their accommodation and ready for the first activities of the week which began with a tour of the facilities and then a short walk up Skiddaw to see the fantastic views of the lake district.
Throughout the week pupils had the opportunity to try out a variety of outdoor adventurous activities including bushcraft, canoeing, climbing, cycling, swimming and the tree challenge course.
All pupils took a full and active part in the activities. By participating in the activities pupils have been able to achieve success, develop new skills, enhance confidence and maximise their potential.
