On Thursday, 7th March we celebrated World Book Day. As well as being great fun, the day helps us to promote ‘Reading for Pleasure.’
We would like this ‘love’ of reading to continue at home so it would be great if you could spend just 10 minutes a day reading and sharing stories with your child. Reading can make such a crucial difference to their learning outcomes as well as being fun for all involved.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss
The day was a huge success with classroom doors being transformed to represent particular stories as well as pupils and staff dressing up as their favourite story character.
Check out some photographs from the day.
