Ukulele Band @ Ravenshall

Monday October 16th 2017

On Monday 16th October we were entertained by a visiting Ukulele band based in Huddersfield. They treated us to a fantastic sing-along performance of everything from 50’s rock n roll, The Beatles all the way through to ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ and Postman Pat. The entire primary department along with S1, S2, and S3 were singing and bopping along throughout the morning. What a way to start the day!

A huge thank you to David, Dominic, Mark, Leonard, Steve, and Roger for giving fun filled morning we hope to welcome them back soon.

Music is a powerful tool for learning it helps pre readers by tuning into the beat, it gives non-verbal and autistic children a way to feel very much part of the world and for the anxious who can forget their worries and think only of what’s happening in the moment.
